This guide offers practical tenant billing tips to help you manage your rental property smoothly and keep your tenants happy.

What Does Tenant Water Billing Include?

Tenant billing is the process of charging tenants for water usage, as it is usually combined with sewer fees.
The goal is to create a clear, consistent system for collecting payments and keeping accurate financial records of rental properties.

Gallons Report per Building

How to get a gallon report per building/property?

Log in to your company's dashboard

On the homepage, navigate to the “Gallon Report” section.

Select the date range and the desired property/building.

Click “Generate CSV” to download the spreadsheet showing detailed water usage per unit for the selected property/building.

​Open the CSV file.
Multiply the “HCF per period” column value by your water and sewer rate. For a comprehensive billing experience, you can provide tenants with the following:
 

  • Start and end read values

  • Total gallons per period

  • Total HCF

  • Rate per HCF

  • Total amount in USD
